Spring is upon us. Nature takes it’s course of new beginnings, with new flowers appearing and buds starting to appear on trees. We move away from the darkness of winter and watch as the greenery becomes lush and the colours start to appear. The transformation that takes place is amazing to watch, happening right before our eyes, but usually without giving it a second thought.
As nature does her thing, what about you? Are you looking for change? To transform? To heal? Is there something you really want to do, and you feel now is the right time to go for it?
Now is the time to start something. Not tomorrow, not next week but now. Right this second. Ok, so you might want to take sometime to think about things, and how it will all work out or at least plan a little, but essentially, if you want to do something, then start now. You don’t need all the answers in order to begin, by starting you are creating the momentum and will discover as you go. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, so by getting started today, you will be ahead of yourself and the tomorrow you will thank you for taking the first step.
Perhaps you have been through a trauma and you are now in a place where you are ready to accept help and want to explore your options. You might start thinking about where to look for help, what kind of help you need and want. Is there an organisation you can get in touch with, who can give you initial advice. Have a chat with your doctor, they might be able to offer you support or at least put you in touch with someone who can help. Chat to your family and friends as they may have some ideas or can be your shoulder to lean on when you need to talk.
Now is the time to seek help to move you forward to help your own wellbeing.
At this time of year we hear a lot about de-cluttering our houses, spring cleaning and getting rid of items that no longer serve us. But de-cluttering isn’t just for the home. It’s good for the mind too. Not just in terms of making your space at home lighter and brighter and thereby reducing the clutter of your mind. But if you are looking to heal then working through any issue with the right support will help you to lift the heaviness from your mind. If you decide to speak with a therapist, they will take you on a journey which will help you to understand why you feel the way you do, what can help and move you positively forward.
It’s essentially helping you to get rid of the negative, unhelpful information (such as negative self talk) from your head. Not all of the information you store is useful or even helpful. By talking to someone, like a counselor, they can help you unpick and understand your thoughts and reasoning. They can help de-clutter your mind and enable you to keep the really great, positive thoughts allowing you to let go of those thoughts that no longer serve you.
Is springtime the time of year where you decide it’s time for a personal change, for example are you keen to look for a new job and take on a fresh new challenge? Have a think about the areas in your current role that you love and that positively challenge you. Then think about the areas you perhaps aren’t so keen on and wish you did less of. Is there a job or company out there you feel you would be suited too? Maybe the first step in all this is for you to write or re-write your CV. Go on, what are you waiting for, get started.
Maybe springtime for you is the push you need to do something new and challenging. Are you bored of going to the gym or running. You want to find an activity in your local area that’s just a bit unique or unusual, a break from the norm. Have a look at local clubs and see what is on offer, you could try outdoor swimming or rock climbing or kayaking. Strike while the iron is hot and find something new and interesting to do. You never know where it will take you.
Springtime is a beautiful time of year, it takes us out of the dark cold winters and allows us to see the future possibilities. We get to start afresh. Anything is possible. But we need to try and take that mentality with us throughout the year. Spring is a brilliant time to start something, however, the best time to start is now, regardless of the season. Think of a little step you can take today, to help you move forward with your plans.
Enjoy your springtime and don’t delay with the changes you want to make. Just begin.
I hope you all have a lovely week. Take care and look after you.
Love Emma xx
I love Spring. It used to be my favorite season before learning to accept all the others. It’s so nice to see flowers and people bloom. I wish you a wonderful Spring, Emma! To new projects and beyond 🌸
